About
Building reliable software and practical AI solutions
I’m Amit Kumar, a software engineer with more than 10 years of experience in the IT industry. I build applications that help businesses improve operations, connect services, and turn complex requirements into practical software.
My background combines Java and Spring Boot development with microservices architecture, financial integrations, databases, and event-driven systems. Over the past two years, I have expanded my work into AI agent development, bringing established software engineering practices to intelligent automation.

Experience across industries
Throughout my career, I have worked with businesses across real estate, financial technology, telecommunications, and insurance. Each industry has strengthened my understanding of how technology must support the people, processes, and responsibilities behind a business.
This range of experience helps me approach a project with both technical depth and an appreciation of its business context.
Real estate
Projects with two real estate companies, building digital solutions for property management and customer engagement.
Focused on making information easier to manage and helping businesses serve customers more effectively.
Financial technology
Contributed to projects with two fintech companies, including a client engagement involving PayPal.
Reinforced the importance of secure integrations, accurate transaction processing and dependable behaviour.
Telecommunications
Worked with two telecommunications companies on systems supporting connectivity and customer service.
Systems that keep service teams and customers connected without surprises.
Insurance
Worked with an insurance company on applications supporting policy management and claims processing.
Software that supports the people and responsibilities behind every claim.
A key achievement
UPI system development
One of the significant milestones in my career was building a complete UPI system from scratch, integrating with YES Bank APIs to support digital payments.
The project brought together backend development, banking API integration, and payment workflow implementation. It strengthened my experience in connecting business applications with financial infrastructure and addressing the reliability requirements of payment systems.
That experience continues to inform how I approach integrations: understand the full transaction flow, handle failures carefully, and make system behavior clear and traceable.
What that means for your project
- The full transaction flow is mapped before code is written.
- Failures are handled explicitly, not discovered in production.
- System behaviour stays clear and traceable for support teams.
- Financial integrations are treated as reliability work, not just plumbing.
AI agents
My focus on AI agents
For the past two years, I have specialized in designing and building AI agents for automation, intelligent workflows, and practical problem-solving.
My focus is on connecting AI capabilities with useful actions — helping software interpret information, coordinate tasks, and work with existing business systems. I approach this work with the same engineering discipline I apply to backend development: clear responsibilities, dependable integrations, and behavior that can be evaluated.
“I am particularly interested in solutions that reduce repetitive work while keeping people in control of important decisions.”

My core development experience spans more than a decade of working with Java and Spring Boot to build backend services and business applications.
I design and deploy microservices, use MySQL for relational data management, and work with Apache Kafka to support asynchronous communication and event-driven processing. Redis is part of my toolkit for caching and improving application performance.
Alongside these technologies, my AI engineering experience includes agent development, machine learning workflows, and intelligent automation. Together, these skills allow me to connect established software systems with newer AI capabilities.

How I approach my work
I believe effective software starts with understanding the problem it needs to solve. Technology choices should follow the requirements, the operating environment, and the needs of the people who will use and maintain the system.
My approach emphasizes clear architecture, maintainable code, thoughtful integration, and practical delivery. Whether I am developing a backend service, integrating a payment platform, or building an AI agent, my aim is to create software that remains useful as the business evolves.
Understand the problem first
Effective software starts with understanding the problem it needs to solve.
Let requirements choose the technology
Technology choices should follow the requirements, the operating environment, and the needs of the people who will use and maintain the system.
Build to remain useful
The aim is software that stays useful as the business evolves: clear architecture, maintainable code, thoughtful integration and practical delivery.
